Daar is tans ‘n uitgebreide werk wat gedoen word in die Stilbaai Sakesentrum om die waterpypstelsel op te gradeer van asbespype na plastiekpype. Die kontrakteur wat aangestel is se oorspronklike voltooingsdatum was die einde van Augustus, maar soos die taak gevorder het, het Hessequa Munisipaliteit se ingenieurs die voltooingsdatum uitgestel na einde September a.g.v. onvoorsiene uitdagings met die projek. Die kontrak bevat n “penalty clause”, so die kontrakteur is self haastig om die projek binne die voorgeskrewe tyd te voltooi en oorhandig aan Hessequa Munisipaliteit.
Die Stilbaai Sakekamer is bewus van die impak wat die projek op besighede het en die indruk wat geskep word in die sakesektor. Ons onderneem om die besighede op hoogte te hou van verwikkelinge soos die projek vorder.
There is currently extensive work being done in the Stilbaai business district to convert the old water pipe system from asbestos to plastic pipes. The original agreement with the contractor was that the date of completion was the end of August. As the project progressed, unforeseen delays called for the engineers department of Hessequa municipality to extend the project until the end of September.
The contractor is bound by a penalty clause should the project not be handed over to the municipality within the stipulated time. As a result the contractor is also eager to finish the project.
The SSK is aware of the impact this project has had on business as well as the negative impression it gives of Stilbaai’s CBD. The SSK undertakes to keep its members informed of progress as the project nears completion.
