Kyk as jy talentvol is en dit wat jy skep, is bo verwagting goed, dan mag jy maar.
Hannelie Taute het vroeer vanjaar nuus gemaak met haar skepping van ‘n rubberromp, gemaak deur William Mills. Die romp het sy gedra na die uitstalling van haar werk in Pretoria. Sy hou daarvan om met haar “uitrusting” aansluiting te vind by die tema van haar kuns.
Haar medium is kleurvolle borduurwerk op swart rubber en is ’n bekroonde kunstenaar en ontvanger van ’n Kanna-toekenning vir die beste visuele kunsproduksie by die KKNK 2015 asook twee benoemings vir ’n Fiësta-toekenning in 2012 en 2015.
En hier doen sy dit sowaar weer. Sommer in dubbeldoor!
Taute het verlede week die nuus ontvang dat die werke van haar uitstalling “Stink Afrikaners” benoem is vir ’n Kyknet Fiestatoekenning vir die beste visuele kuns- produksie by ’n Kunstefees. Die derde keer! En dit is nie al nie……. Sy is in kennis gestel dat haar werk gekies is om Suid-Afrika te verteenwoordig by die 2017 Tekstiel Bienniale wat in Nederland by die Rijswijk Museum gehou word. Laasgenoemde is ’n droom wat vir haar bewaarheid word. Haar kommentaar? “2016 was vol asemrowende geleenthede en gebeurtenisse wat haar asem weggeslaan het.” Baie geluk Hannelie!
Tans is van haar werke nog te sien by Knysna Fine Art en tydens die Woordfees wat vroeg Maart in Stellenbosch gehou word, gaan sy deelneem aan twee groepuitstallings. (Irma Huysamer)

Working with the more mature figure and person gives me such satisfaction and pleasure.
The client will have reached a stage in life where she knows what suits her best and brings out that ‘hidden’ beauty.
I have discovered over the years she looks as good and feels as comfortable in a beautifully tailored jacket and pants/skirt, as she would in a soft flowing garment, accessorising it with stunning piece of jewellery. Using light weight woollens, pure linen, and cotton for day wear or soft flowing materials that allows for soft draping to enhance the figure for evening wear.
With the softer / fuller part of the neck and shoulders, she is able to wear a well cut décolletage and again accessorize it with well crafted jewellery, i.e. a beautiful necklace and earrings, or depending on the mood, just a beautifully crafted necklace.
The more daring would sometimes go for a combination of strong colours, fairly bold designs in the material bringing out the ‘Gypsies’, but at the same time keeping in mind how the fabric drapes, thus complimenting her figure. For the others most shades of most colours bring out that beauty complimenting the skin tone.

JewEL is an Esoteric shop with Crystals and Gifts.
This name was Godly inspired. Even though it is a word commonly used this word means so much more. JewEL is derived from the first part which is Jew (a Group of People) and EL which is the end name or piece of a name that inspires Godliness = “Emanuel”.
The EL – Element also bind in with many Angel names, especially seeing that angels are the messenger of God and our helpers on earth.
So for me it means that God is blessing this venture and for all it stands and that I as an “Earth Angel” will inspire and help you in as much as I can in your quest to enlightment –
Bringing heaven and Earth together.
Most of the Crystals come for Brazil and the Ukraine and is of a very high quality. The shop also boasts a healing room on the premises, where people can come directly. The following healing modalities are on offer. Reiki, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Aura cleansing, Chakra balancing, Body alignment, Crystal Healing as well as Angel Reading.
The shop opened its door in May 2016 and is going from strength to strength. Since coming to Mossel Bay in 2011, I wanted to open my healing practise again. Now more than ever, it is time to do so, this time incorporating crystals too, and what they can do for you.
My shop is situated inside Green Door Guest house, Marsh Street, Mossel Bay. It’s such a beautiful space and has the exact ambiance I was looking for. People who walk in here can feel the peace and tranquillity it offers. I have a lovely bench, where people can sit and talk to me and where I can give them some soul counselling…… Here we meet as strangers, but go our separate ways as friends.
The most important message I would wish to send the community, is that everyone regardless of religion is welcome to stop by and come visit me, be it for a chat or more….there might be a little treasure waiting for you…..always keep an open mind, for God created all and gave us all to use for our highest good.
