PUT YOUR BROCHURES IN OUR GOODIE BAGS!

It’s that time of the year again where Hessequa Municipality/Tourism welcomes visitors to our region by means of a fully-fledged roadblock. And what fun it is. Our friends at Traffic set up all their cones and cables, and people are always pleasantly surprised when the Mayor pops out and goodie bags are handed out between the cars. If you would like to gain exposure for your tourism business through this initiative, you can send us your marketing material and we’ll include it in the bags that are being distributed. Here are the details:
What: Brochures work well, but also think about vouchers and samples. Maybe you could collaborate with other role-players in your area in order to have a special offer you would like to promote. Maybe you have an upcoming event that needs exposure? Maybe you’re promoting your mountain bike race and you staple the info to a valve cap or piece of tyre in order for it to be more memorable? Thinking outside the box always wins!
How many: We’re packing 300 bags.
When: The event takes place on 11 December 2015, but, your marketing collateral must reach this office no later than Monday, 30 November 2015 for it to be included.
Where: Brochures/items can be dropped off at Hessequa Tourism, 19 Main Road, Riversdale (between Post Office and Spar). Alternatively, you can leave it at your local municipal office, and ask them to send it to Riversdale. Clearly mark for attention Guillaume – Tourism.

SUNE’S … recipe of the week

3

Ingredients:
800 g shrimps
1 teaspoon garlic
3 tablespoons paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon oregano
1 large ripe mango, peeled and diced
1 red pepper, diced
1 red onion, diced
Handful of fresh coriander, chopped
4 tortilla wraps
1 avocado, sliced
150 ml sour cream

Method:
Fry the garlic and shrimp in a splash of oil. The shrimp cooks quite fast – so be sure to sprinkle it with the paprika, cayenne pepper, thyme and oregano in time so it can absorb the flavours. Once cooked, set aside.
For the salsa, mix together the diced mango, red pepper, red onion and chopped coriander.
To assemble your wrap, drop spoonfuls of avocado and sour cream onto your tortilla. Top it with some shrimp and mango salsa and freshly ground black pepper. Enjoy!
